Horns of a Dilemma

For those behind the curve scrambling for a gift, you can never, ever, ever go wrong with an iTunes gift card. There, I said it.

I think I have reached the point where my birthday means more to others than it does to me. Call me Birthday McScrooge, but I would just as soon take the day off, sit in front of the TV and watch the Bourne Trilogy, with a bucket of (good) beer at my side or perhaps a bomber (22 oz) of Avery Czar Imperial Stout. Of course, consumming a Czar by oneself would make for a rather short birthday.

Webmaster

The Webmaster at Harra.org has reminded me that my membership has expired. Harra is the umbrella running organization for the individual running clubs in the Houston Area. It's a great organization to be sure, but I have to admit, I rarely use the benefits and I participate in very few, if any, of their events.

We normally purchase a family membership at 35.00 which would purchase at least seven of the aforementioned Avery Czar.

I have toyed with the idea of foregoing the HARRA Membership and simply joining one of the local running clubs, but really I just want to run. Something I have not been able to do for the last six and a half months because of my knee.

Hmmm...

Speaking of the knee, I have not noticed any improvement since the last steroid injection two weeks ago. I am trying to keep in mind the doctor said it would take up to two weeks to start "doing its thing" but I cannot help thinking that the pain may not be reduced by the end of week three, which is the time table to decide whether or not to scrape the knee.
